Madonna may be juggling family life and her role as the “Queen of Pop,” but she makes sure she excels at both.
In a recent interview with PeopleMadonna’s longtime friend Debi Mazar praised Madonna, 66, for being a great mother to her six children and raising them to be warriors.
Mazar, who recently celebrated her 60th birthday, married chef Gabriele Corcos in 2002. Together they have daughters Evelina, 22, and Giulia, 18.
While Popular the singer is the mother of six children: Lourdes (27), Rocca (24), David (18), Mercy (18) and twins Stella and Estere (12).
“It’s the whole process of life. We’re just two women who have careers in the public eye and we’ve raised children,” Mazarová reflected on how the two working women reconciled their work lives and family. “With our family, we are very protective and private.
“I am, but she can only be as private as the world allows her to be,” remarked the actress, who first met Material girl singer at New York’s Danceteria nightclub and later hired Mazar as hair and makeup artist for her first ever music video Holiday.
“I’m really proud of her,” continued Mazar, who has been friends with Madonna for over four decades. “She’s a great mom” who gives her kids “tools for survival and education and being fighters, like all moms.”
“At the end of the day, she’s like any of my girlfriends, except she’s Madonna who doesn’t stop working,” she concluded while talking about her new series. Chaosnow streaming on Netflix.
